Before you get started

Calf Tags

To record calvings, you will need to upload your new season calf tags first. You can call 0508 6455 482 for help, or click here for instructions.

Other information

Ensure that all your dry-offs have been recorded from last season. Click here for instructions on recording dry-offs.
Ensure that all your Dams have date of births recorded.

1. Go to Enter Data > Calving
2. Select the Calving Date
3. Either type a cow number or select a cow from the list and note if the Dam had twins. If twins: record calf information for both calves.
4. Choose the Calf Sex
5. Select the Calf Fate
6. If the calf was Reared, enter the Birth ID
7. Note if the calving was Abnormal or Assisted. Note any extra Calving Notes
8. Click Queue Event
9. Repeat for each calving
This will add the calving to the list. The calving has not been recorded at this stage.

10. Under Awaiting Approval check your calvings are correct. Click Edit or Delete to make changes to individual calvings

Approving Calvings

11. Select the check box as shown to select all the calvings and click Approve Selected when done. (Or, Delete Selected to start over)

Calvings can be saved to the Awaiting Approval list without having calf tags in your Tag Cupboard. You can approve them once you've uploaded your calf tags
