Most data can be imported into MilkHub as
Custom Data
Fields. (See
Creating Custom Columns
)
Importing data from another system
Data can be imported from any
text
or
Excel
file (.txt or .csv or .xls).
Make sure the file has what you need (Visual IDs, Electronic IDs, Date of Birth, etc.) and save it to your computer (remember where you save it!).
If the file is saved as .txt make sure there is a comma between each entry. e.g.:
VID,Electronic ID,Age
4,9820000111111,5
638,9820000222222,3
301,982000333333,7
Importing a File
Once you have the file from your provider go to
Administration > Import Non-Minda Files
Click on the red
Import Cow Data
button
Click the
Browse
button and locate the file you saved earlier then click
Upload
Make sure the column headings are correct and click
Next
Check that the changes are correct and check any errors then click
Apply
Using the Data
Show custom data on screen (broadcast display only)
