Season Mastitis and Season Treatment Courses

MilkHub strongly suggests that the Season Mastitis measurement is always used in conjunction with the Season Treatment Courses count as an aid to your culling strategy. Other measurements such as pregnancy status, weights or production trendlines should be used to give a full season's lactation picture before culling decisions are made.

The example below looks at filtering cows who have had 2 or more courses of mastitis treatments this season. Treatments are populated from the drugs recorded for cows in MilkHub throughout the season.

1. Go to Herd Management > Scratchpad
2. Click on Add/Remove Columns
3. Under the Mastitis heading select Season Courses and Season Mastitis
4. Click Apply
5. Under Which Cows select Recently Milked
6. Select Add Criteria
7. Under Which Column select Season Courses
8. Choose "greater than or equals" in the next drop down box
9. Type "2" in the Value box
10. Optional: Select all cows by clicking on the box next to Actions and choose either to draft the cows at Inshed Action or Group Membership to put them in a group.
