Basic Keypad functions

Here are the keypad presses for the seven most common keypad functions used in-shed with the broadcast screen.

1. Draft Cow by Ear Tag

Press the Ear Tag key

Enter the Cow Number

Press Shift

Press Left or Right to draft

2. Draft Cow by Bail

Press the Bail key

Enter the Bail Number

Press Shift

Press Left or Right to draft

3. View a Cow's Info

Press the Ear Tag key

Enter the Cow Number

Press Shift

Press 1

4. Alert for Mastitis

Press the Ear Tag key

Enter the Cow Number

Press the Mast key

Press Enter

Select a Quarter

Press Enter

5. Alert for Lameness

Press the Ear Tag key

Enter the Cow Number

Press the Foot key

Press Enter

6. Record a Treatment

Press the Ear Tag key

Enter the Cow Number

Press the Treat key

Select the Drug

If prompted, enter a Quarter or Number of Mls

Press Enter

7. Change the Viewpoint

Press the System key

Press 1 to enter Display Setup

Choose Single Screen or Split Screen

Select a position to show

Select information to show

8. Update a VID

Press the Bail key

Enter the Bail Number

Press the Shift key

Press 2 to enter Update Cow VID

Enter the new VID

Press Enter

If the new VID already exists the system will ask if you would like to remove it from the old cow.
