Finding and Selecting Cows

There are many different ways you can view cow data in miHub. This document shows you ways to find and select cows by Visual ID in Herd Management > Scratchpad.

Find or select a cow by Visual ID number

1. Go to Herd Management > Scratchpad
2. Click Find a Cow on the right side of the screen, select Visual ID, enter ID number then click Search

OR

3. Click Type a List Instead on the left side of the screen.
4. Enter cow Visual ID then press Enter.
5. Repeat until you have listed all the cows you want to view then click Apply

Adding filter criteria

You can also easily refine your search to show only specific cows or groups of cows you are interested in.

1. Click Add or Remove Columns on the right side of the screen and select the cow information you are interested in.
2. Click Apply
3. Click +Add Criteria. This will show a new box.
4. Under Which Column? select the column to filter on.
5. Select an operator i.e. equals, less than, or between.
6. Enter the value(s) you want to use.
7. Click Add
8. Repeat the process if you would like to add another filter

Refine search by criteria

Found or selected cows now ready for Actions

1. Click the boxes on the left to select the cows you want and then click on Actions to choose what you want to do with those cows.

Select by checkbox

You can save this list to refer to later by going to Save User Report, entering a Report Name and Description then pressing Save
You'll find the report under Herd Management > More Reports...
