Check there is no debris under the scale
If there is muck or stones under the scale it can affect the readings and cause cows to read light. We recommend blasting a hose under the scale after each milking to keep it clear.
Check the scale is zero'd
If the scale is not reading 0 when there is nothing on it the measurements will be incorrect.
To find out if this is the case, open the steel box on the gate and locate the small orange box.
Open this and check the display.
Make sure the scale is clear and press the
blue button to zero the scale.
Check the scale is weighing correctly
Sometimes the load bearing cells in the scale will not weigh correctly.
To test this open the steel box on the gate and open the orange box.
Turn the orange dial to
M.
Put a known weight on the scale (a person or set of weights) and check that the weight is correct.
