Cow Lists and Tags

Why should I keep my tags up to date in MilkHub?

Keeping your cow lists clean and tags up to date is probably the single most important thing you can do to make your MilkHub system rewarding to work with. By doing so, the system is able to correctly identify your animals, respond accurately to your alerts and drafts, and give you the most precise herd information on which to base your decision making.

Tagging Recommendations

Tag Cupboard

The Tag Cupboard is where any tags that are not yet associated with an animal are stored.
This includes spare tags from a supplier and birth tags for new calves.

There are several different ways to tell the system who your new cows are.

Tag Maintenance

Sometime it will be necessary to update tag information if new cows have come on farm,
cows have lost their tags or there are 2 cows with the same number.
If new cows have come on farm they will not have a Visual ID linked to them.
