We recommend Allflex or Zeetags as the best options for Herd-Man automation. Round EID tags are recommended for overhead antennae as they are less sensitive to tag-orientation and give better read results. HDX tags are preferred, although FDX tags are also supported.
Purchasing NAIT tags
If you are currently a herd recording client of CRV Ambreed or LIC you can purchase your NAIT tags from them and the tags will be automatically uploaded to CRV Insight Web or Minda to allocate to your animals. The list of tags also appears in your NAIT account.
CRV Ambreed: If you purchased your NAIT tags from CRV Ambreed your file will be sent directly to Herd-Man on your behalf and we will upload it to the Tag Cupboard in Herd-Man.
LIC Minda: If you purchased your NAIT tags from LIC please export your new NAIT tags as a csv or excel spreadsheet file from Minda and email it to us to upload into the Tag Cupboard in Herd-Man.
Farm Supply Store or Manufacturer: If you purchased your NAIT tags from a farm supply store or manufacturer the tag list will be provided to your NAIT account. You should also receive an electronic file from the supplier which you can email to us for upload to the Tag Cupboard in Herd-Man.
